How do I sign up for 2:42 Life Group?

Sign-ups for the Life Group that fits your schedule will take place 2 weeks before the next segment begins. Sign-up sheets are in the church foyer.

Why are 2:42 Life Groups important?

Acts 2:42 is our model for this vital ministry. “And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship in the breaking of bread and in prayers… so continuing daily with one accord in the Temple and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.” At CCGJ we believe spiritual growth flows out of two basic commitments: A commitment to Jesus Christ and the Bible and a commitment to significant Christian relationships.

2:42 Life Groups meet in homes for fellowship, food, Bible Study and prayer. We gather together once a week, with breaks over the summer and end of the year holidays. At the end of each segment, you will have the choice to recommit for the next segment with the same group, try a new Life Group, or take a break from 2:42 Life Groups altogether.

• 2:42 Groups give you accessibility and accountability to grow deeper in your relationship with Jesus.

• 2:42 Groups give you a sense of community to help you grow in meaningful relationships with other believers.

• 2:42 Groups give you an opportunity to better understand God’s Word as you explore the Scriptures that were covered in the previous Sunday’s service.

• 2:42 Groups give you spiritual and practical support in your times of need.

• 2:42 Groups allow you to apply your Christian walk to meet the needs of others through random acts of service.
