Youth Group
Youth Group (Grades 6–12)
Youth Group students begin Sunday morning by joining the adults in the main sanctuary for worship during the 10:30 AM service. After worship, they are dismissed and gather in the foyer with their youth leaders before heading to the youth room at the east end of the building. Middle School and High School are split up on Sunday Mornings for teaching time.
On Wednesday evenings, both Middle School & High School come together at 6:30 in the Youth Room. We start the evening off with food (usually pizza) and games, followed by teaching in the Word and time in small groups and prayer. We teach verse by verse through various books of the Bible and emphasize the importance of a personal relationship with Christ.
Our youth ministry is a welcoming and engaging environment where students can grow in their faith, build friendships, and learn God’s Word in a way that is relevant to their lives.

About
Jon and Bethany Chambers met at Calvary Chapel Bible College in Murietta, CA, where they both earned their degrees in Theology. Married in 2005, they have two kids, Acacia and Jonah, whom they've had the privilege of leading in youth group alongside many other kids over the years. They have been serving in youth ministry since 2007, when they volunteered to "fill in" until God called someone else to take their place.
Matt and Charis Meisinger have been helping in youth group since they got married in 2021. Charis grew up attending the youth group here at CCGJ, and went on to study at Calvary Chapel Bible College where she earned her degree in Theology. Matt & Charis have two young children, Eloise and Joseph. Matt and Charis help with high school youth group on Sunday mornings and both Jr High & High School on Wednesday nights.
Trevor and Melody Jones have been teaching middle school youth group on Sunday mornings since 2023. Prior to that, both middle school and high school were combined, so they wanted to create a class that would better meet middle schoolers at their level. Trevor & Melody have three kids, Elsie, Lavender and Nathan, two of whom are currently in youth group.
